SHORT PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the ROBONETCBC project is to promote and advance innovative applications of blue technologies for monitoring and pollution prevention in marine and freshwater ecosystems. By fostering collaboration among different stakeholders, the project aims to develop new solutions within the blue economy and adopt existing innovative practices that improve existing methods in the participating countries.
Through three work packages, the project will:
- analyze existing monitoring systems in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement
- create a joint action plan to address monitoring challenges and establish a research base for the implementation of innovative solutions
- implement advanced monitoring technologies, including robotics and sensors, at identified points to facilitate real-time data collection and analysis
Ultimately, ROBONETCBC seeks to mitigate environmental impacts, ensure sustainable ecosystem management and stimulate investments in the blue economy, thereby contributing to long-term ecological resilience and innovation in the region.
